I have a Buck 112 with brass pins and factory stag. All around the brass pins a green stain has developed. Is it possible to remove these and not harm the stag? Thanks for all your time.
Yes, I would try using Mothers Mag Wheel polish on a soft, clean cotton cloth. I've done it using Flitz, which ever you have. Then use a Q-tip to clean out the polish compound. DM
It works pretty well. After reading David M's tip yesterday, I gave it a try on a stag Peanut (Case) of mine, with some of that same green tint around the backspring's anchor pin. Did a nice job cleaning it up. Also buffs up the stag nicely, using a SOFT cloth.
(Mother's also works pretty well on a strop, BTW. )
