Hello-

I posted this question in the blade discussion forum, and was guided here. Does anyone know the best way to remove the rubber handle(and pins) on a alpha 694? I love this knife, and would like to personalize it with a paracord handle. Any comments, suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks-

Kyle

I was wondering the same thing about the 194. Essentially the same knife, but with the ATS-34 steel and rosewood handle. If one was made with the ATS-34 and rubber handles, I would be all over it, but I would rather have the steel and a paracord handle instead of the 420 with rubberized

The rivets are a 2 piece design pressed together. If you do not wish to keep the handle and rivets, then I would suggest cutting them off. If you wish to keep the handles, there really is no way to remove with out destroying.

Mr. Hubbard-

Thank you for the info...I was able to remove the rubber slabs. I realize the knife was fine the way it came, I just needed an excuse to 'make it mine'. (I have a thing for paracord, dating back to my time spent in service dangling beneath it.) Thank you once again-
