removing light scratches from BM 721

Hi. A novice here wanting to remove light scratches from my Benchmade 721 I inadvertently put on the blade from improper sharepening. Any ideas on how to do so with minimal equipment? Thanks.....

What grit does it look like it stops at,
you can hand rub the blade out,that does not take much
but sand paper and elbow grease.
