Removing Lock Bar stop/Detent Ball from ZT0808

I am disassembling a ZT0808 down to bare scales so I can send it out for anodizing but lock bar stop piece is secured tightly and I don't want to break anything. There appears to be a steel pin holding it in place. Any suggestions?
