Removing markings on blade

Hi everyone, does anybody know a good way to remove brownish markings on blade that you get after chopping wood？ I tried wiping it off with oil but it doesn't work. Thank you

yep. i's a steel polish and removes very minor amounts of steel so marking should go as well. i've had good luck getting rust stains that oils and such failed at as well as various markings. it's mild enough it won't mess the finish much to at all unless you go crazy.

WD 40 will probably remove the marks. They are probably dried tree sap.

Try kitchen degreaser, if it doesn't work - polishing paste.
