Is it easy, hard, or dang near impossible???
I am considering playing with/ modifying/ (probably ruining) my NO-E...
Anyone know how it's done?
Thanks,
Rob

I'd imagine you would have to drill the tube fasteners out

edit: Just wondering what you are planning to use instead, maybe something exotic? ;)

Actually...
I want to put a spear point style false edge on the tip, some small grooves on the back (like the Groove Master), some ridges on the thumb ramp, and a little off the top back of the butt.

Then... (with handles removed... ;) ) remove the coating, put a satin finish on it, or a mirror finish with a Tungsten DLC coating for the "black chrome" look...

Thoughts?

Yep, they come off pretty easy if you have a drill press or even a drill. Just drill out the fasteners.

Hi,

yes, it is rather easy to remove the scales. Just follow Andrew's instructions.

The result for an AD looks like that.

The new scales will be made of Desert Ironwood, they should be ready by the end of next week.
