I recently inherited an aluminum boat. I needs to be cleaned up a bit. It has thick pinstripes and large stickers that are scratched and were on the boat when it was new. I would like to get them off. I tried using a heat gun and it did not work all that well any ideas on how to remove these stickers to help me spruce it up?

Thanks

Pinstripes are put on with oneshot; they are paint. The stickers can be taken off with lighter fluid, and scraping.

Can also try " Goo Gone " for the stickers, spray on and let it sit for a few minutes and the stickers should come off a lot easier, also works great on other stuff too so it makes a good investment.

Heat gun should have worked. Maybe it just needs a little finesse? There is an art to pulling stickers... ;)

Hey Guys....

All depends if the boat is painted or not..
If the stickers and stripping is put on raw alum you'd so it different if it were painted...

Keep in mind that when you take them off you will more than likely have Ghosting from the stickers..
