Is it possible to remove the scales from the Manix 2 lightweight? I bought some carbon fiber scales off of a regular Manix 2, and I would like to instal them on my lightweight Manix.

Any help is appreciated!

I'm not so familiar with the new light weights, I have the older one with pins everywhere. The pivot on the new ones are screw so I'm guessing you would just need to remove to get the blade out? Problem will be with getting the cbbl out in one piece. You'd have to cut the pins, which would destroy the old scales, and you'd need to put new pins in and machine flat to hold in place, or you could go with new screws which would be easier IMO.

As I posted in the other forum (atleast I tried maybe it didnt post) the manix2 LW doesn't come apart, even the new ones with a torx pivot doesn't come out. A pivot bushing makes it so the blade can't even be removed. (not complaining about the pivot bushing- its a good thing, just annoying it doesn't come apart)
