I have acquired a fixed blade with scratches on the mark side.
What is the best way to remove them ?

You can try using metal polishing cream like Flitz or automotive rim/chrome polish; it works on hair line surface scratches well, but you have to keep on at it if the scratches are deeper.

Or you can use high grid sand paper starting at 600/800 grids and work your way up to 3-4000

Metal polish likely won't remove those; they look too deep. More often than not, polishing will highlight heavy scratches instead, as the surrounding unblemished metal gets brightened up. I've never had much luck trying to remove heavy scratches on blades with metal polish alone (and I've used Simichrome and/or Flitz, most of the time).

You could sand the blade to get rid of them, using wet/dry sandpaper over a hard, flat backing. Sand in one linear direction, either lengthwise (heel to tip) or widthwise (spine to edge). It'll leave a uniform satin 'brushed' finish on the blade; something around ~320 grit usually emulates a lot of factory finishes. If the blade is already mirror-polished from the factory, higher-grit sanding at or above 2000 grit will approach that finish, followed by polishing with metal polish. Sanding will remove the original factory etch on the blade, though. So, you'll need to consider if you really want to remove the scratches that way.
