Can't find my post with this question but I found a good way.
Bark River 4V -made with a high polish Phenolic/cotton handle . For a working knife I found the high polish too slippery - not good when taking apart a deer . I experimented with various ways but a quick and simple way turned out to be a fine lined checkering file ! Then I had a similar finish as my Survive ! Knife .Works even better if you get it wet. Now I have a heavy duty hunting knife ! Handle BTY is just long enough for my big hand which is 4" across the knuckles.
