I bought some of the Al Buck signature 110's and would like to remove the signature from one. The blades are mirror polished and I was wondering if I could remove the sig. and the blade still look good. If so how do I do it. Thanks

[emove the signature] i just have to ask why

I can't speak for mater, but I also have a bunch of the Founders Editions with the signature. I plan on having some of them re-handled and I'd like the blade to be just plain polished. I'll have some with and some without.

It can be done quite easily on a wheel using a 1000 grit belt. Then buff on back to mirror finish on cloth wheels loaded w/ rouge. But this requires equipment.DM

I think he means the Founders Edition w/etched signature...Not an actual electro-etched-personally-signed-by-one-of-the-Buck-family signatures... :p

Boy...Wouldn't that make CJ feel good??? Not!!! :D

Plumberdv,

I sent you a PM explaining how I remove them. It can be dangerous so I prefer not to post too much info here. Buffers and knives can really be dangerous so don't try this at home kind of thing...:eek:

You are right. I would just like it without the etch. If the signature was actual I wouldn't touch it.
