removing small bump on dmt diamond stone?

I just got my dia sharp stone (8x3, from extra coarse to extra extra fine)

the coarse stone seem to have some bump on it that catch the edge of the blade (and i assume make it harder to have a good edge)

what i did is using the coarse stone from my dmt aligner kit to gently remove the bump, is this a good idea? it seem to have worked (i need to test it a little bit more)

worse case i could return it but i don't like going through RMA

if what i did is wrong or doesnt work after more testing on my side, other than returning it, is there a way to remove "bump" on diamond stone?

Although I would never rub my diamond plates together, fearing damage, I guess if it worked, it worked.

I just reprofile a few bevels, knock some shoulders down, or grind a spine down to break new ones in.

i remember reading something like that some time ago and this is how i got the idea, i dont remember if it was that post or somewhere else ... im happy that it was a good idea, tomorrow i will continue playing around with my new stone and see how it goes, the bump was "stopping" the blade when i was going slow and was making it jump when i was going fast

I had the same problem with the red (fine) and tan (eef). I wet the plates and very lightly rubbed an old steel (honing rod) on them to knock off the bigger diamond chunks. It worked ok. They are still a bit bitey but I would prefer to fully break them in with a blade in fear of damaging them.
