Removing the pocket clip?

I tried to remove the pocket clip on my Large 21 and ran into some difficulty. The screw came out very easily but the clip seems to be stuck on the knife very well. When others have removed the clip, have you had to apply a large amount of force or has the clip come out easily?

Thanks!

I had the same thing happen to me. This is due to the tight tolerances. I had a really hard time when I was trying to put the clip back. I couldn't get it to sit inside its groove for the life of me. What I ended up doing was lining up the clip the best I could then putting in the screw. As I tightened down the screw I made sure the clip was going in straight. As I continued to tighten the screw down it forced the clip in its place. Now, I don't even mess with the clips.

Lol, found this exact thing out yesterday...couldn't get my clip out after removing the screw, ended up giving up for fear of bending or breaking it :(

I wonder if putting the knife in a freezer for a while would help.

Thanks, good to know I'm not crazy. I actually really like the clip and will probably just leave it on. I had some weird desire to see how the knife felt without the clip.

I would think that the knife and clip would have to be separate for anything helpful to happen (assuming the titanium would actually contract or expand when cooled or heated). If they were together, my thoughts are that both of them would contract or expand at the same rate, so it would still be hard to remove/replace.

On the other hand, if you were trying to put the clip back on, either putting the clip in the freezer to make it contract, or the knife in the oven () to make it expand, would possibly help make putting the it on easier but I doubt it.

When I took mine off for a trial, I used a small metal rod and pried it up near where it is sunk into the scale. That way I didn't fear over-extending the clip.

Yea, this is how I take off a stubborn clip. Rather then risk bending the clip use a small pry bar. You can use the tool that comes with the sebbie but Id suggest
using something that won't scratch the ti when prying.

I never had any issues with any of my Reeves removing and putting back in the pocket clip. But I could not fit in the pocket clip filler piece that I bought.
