I have a Rake that I would like to take the thumb studs off of because I like using the flipper better and never use the studs. Anyone know how?

Not all of them are pressed in. They could be on the Rake, I'm not sure. That would probably be my guess. But some are screwed on, like on the Cryo.

tap it out with a mallet.

The skyline studs are it's blade stop. I'd recommend not removing them.

I don't want to take them out for good I just want to take them out so I can more easily get rid of the old beadblast finish around them. I just can't seem to get all the way next to them
