:) just tried renaissance wax on my mnandi's, box elder and bark ivory.never carried either one yet, but just wanted to try it. great stuff! beings the grain out. has any one else tried it? what do you think about it?

I use it on all my custom knives. I generally wax them when I ship any for sale also. Very satisfied. Buy the smallest container you can. It goes a loooooooooooooooooooong way. Kevin

I used it on a wallet with very tired leather. I felt it restored it well. I did use it sparingly but with a lot of working it into the leather. Also worked well on wood for me.

Great stuff, but it's intended for museum pieces, and not things that get carried on a regular basis. It'll wear off quickly.

Just out of curiosity, there really isn't much on a CRK knife that can't take a substantial amount of abuse. What was your reason for putting the Ren Wax on in the first place?

thats the great part, it justs takes a dab. this will last me for a very long time! (small can)

Sheldon Wickersham and I were just joking about this a day or two ago. "Forget about who's going to inherit the knives - who gets the Ren Wax?" Yeah, it'll last longer than me.

Maybe I'm being a dumbass here, but I'd save the Ren Wax for the stuff that really needs it. Stag, carbon steel, and the like. I know Sebbies are expensive and all, but you can beat the living crap outta them all day and all night and never notice the difference. (That's a good thing.)

I keep ren wax on all my Randall knives(keeps the green brass away) and all my old or rare knives....as far as CRK's only the safe queens get it... good stuff I will use it on a leather sheath if I plan to camp out or hike for more than a week.... keeps the leather nice
