Hey any one been to the annual GEC Rendezvous since the inception? Got the knives to show for it? Very curious to see what they look like. This is my first one, so here is the 2016

also any other knives you pick up at the Rendezvous are welcome as well!

I would also love to see a full collection. I have 14 15 and 16. Will edit with pictures.

Haven't been to the rendezvous myself but Duncan and I will be there next year.

This is a rendezvous Spear blade Beer Scout...

Unfortunately I was not able to travel but there were some extras and Mike listed a few of the 2016 knives in his store. I just ordered one of the all steel Eureka Jacks and will share some photos when it arrives. There are more (presently ;) ). Some have brass liners and some with steel bolsters and liners.

The all steel are bare end very nice they had great walk and talk. The brass liners have bolsters on both ends, also well built

Funny but true, GEC has not kept a record of its Annual Rendezvous Knives-- and by this, I mean the single knife or set, marked with a Rendezvous etch, and not the various parts knives and factory specials made available during their event.

Here's what I've come up with through recollection and Searching, starting with 2008 (the first year GEC held their "Open House") and an asterisk. According to GEC's Production Totals for 2008, 32 knives were made and serialized for its first Open House, but Chris Tucker cannot recall if there was an actual, designated Knife for that year.

If any of you are aware of a discrete 2008 Rendezvous/Open House knife and can provide information for this thread, please do!

And, please contribute your own photographs of these knives, and fill in additional (and/or correct!) information as needed.

-- None of these images are my own, save the last for the 2016 #74 in primitive bone; I found them hither and yon on the interwebs. --

2008* : TBD

2009: #26 Sleeveboard in Abalone, with knife pick (photo by Boggs)
[Was the second sleeveboard included in the set as well, ie, two knives and a pick?]

2010: #66 Muskrat in LVS Abalone; from the certificate, it looks like it may have one Tidioute blade, one Northfield?

Stunner after stunner. The swing guard is absolutely fantastic.

I mentioned that it had been a #74 last year also (not a complaint, it's a demonstration of how different two knives on the same pattern can be, both awesome) and William Howard (the younger goes by William, if I remember correctly) seemed surprised and said Bill Howard probably didn't realize. I think it's cool how much of a surprise it is.

Here are two that I believe are "parts" knives sold at the Rendezvous. The Babylon Hill I bought 2014, and the Coyote was this year. Still no official Rendezvous knives yet unfortunately. I may have to pitch a lean-to outside the door Wednesday night next year [emoji2].

Thanks Sarah, you're the best. I didn't know about the earlier knives.

Here's one of the parts knives from this years Rendezvous. It's my first #92. I sharpened it up and put it in my pocket the day that I got.

Supratentorial, that's a sleek knife. I love my jigged bone Eureka - it's in my EDC rotation - but may like this one more. Great purchase!
