Does anyone know if the main blade can be restored to have some "pull" to it.
It has no snap and no half stop. It stays shut ok and it will stay open on its on but not safely.
thanks

Sounds like you may be asking about a slip joint knife; if you are you might want to take your question over to the traditionals sub-forum.

All you can really do as far as I know is to try a good flush and oiling to see if it's just gunked up.
Other than that I don't think there's anything else you can do.

Yes, you can give it a good cleaning and hope that maybe something was gumming up the works, but if the spring has gone lame you really can't fix it unless you replace it.
