Hello All,
I am lucky enough to have my grandfather's WWI US Navy officer's sword, which is in excellent condition. It's a beautiful piece, highly engraved and etched. The scabbard, unfortunately, is in need of repair. The tip of the scabbard is embellished with a serpent, attached to the stiff leather (?) portion of the main body of the scabbard, however it has broken off.
I was wondering if there is any place to have it repaired, and secondarily can anyone direct me to a reference which might discuss the maker(s) of such swords, etc.
Thanks in advance,
Allgonquin
