Repair Ontario RAT Model 1.
Damage such as small, but kind of spoil so that the owner without regret it is ready to give.

First things first, began with the Dremel correct silhouette blade. Since the rat solid belly
vornkliff do much without reducing the length of the blade is not possible, but the first thing I did was pulled the butt to
the remaining edges.

Not very nice, although if done to himself, and perhaps more would have left.
Immediately wanted to show a more traditional geometry.

Further cleaning. Make out, but corrosion is very fragmentary, pointed out that under the washer or dirt
no corrosion is not entered, so the hinge is in order.

Cleaned as usual, powder for sinks and bathtubs. All dirt and corrosion perfectly retired.
Light lubrication Ballistol, wiped with a paper towel, removing excess grease.
Assembly with no problems, like clock. Fitting details as always on top.

Next Regrinding as cutting edge, too, suffered. Remove scratches on the blade did not, knife work, will appear again.
Clip too bothered by the same reason.
Here's what happened. what would be the views of the silhouette of the blade?

Nice job.I lost my Rat 1 a few months ago. Those tan handles on the new rat's look really nice.
