I received a Military in trade, practically LNIB. The only problem I have with it is that there is a little bit of up and down blade play. Enough to bother me. Yes, I did know about this before the trade. Would it be possible to send it in to be tightened up, or can I do it myself? Also, the liner goes all the way to the right, is that okay, or should that get checked out too. Other than that, the knife is almost perfect. Thanks. Oh yeah, my email is silenthunterstudios@hotmail.com.

the eccentric pivot pin on the millie can be adjusted. It will fix your problem with the lock and liner position. It can be done at home with proper patience, tools and the explanation here.

I fixed a liner position myself using this method, on a chinese folder. Remember, doing this will void the warrantee.

The procedure works, but if you have a new military, it won't have the eccentric pivot. You may need to just adjust the pivot, or tighten up the frame screws. Since the knife is not disassmebled, the adjustment should not void the warranty, anyway how would they know unless you told them?

The new Militarys do not have the eccentric pivot.

I bought a new Military recently and it had a lot of vertical blade play. The liner did not contact the tang of the blade at all. I sent it in and should receive it in a few days.

Send it in and Spyderco will take care of it.
