I have a friend who needed a knife with a blade under three inches so I just traded a Delica for his Paramilitary. It looks like the pivot screw has been played with and the blade is off center. I knew that before I traded it so that's okay. My question is will Spyderco replace the pivot screw and center the blade for a fee? If so, does anyone have an idea how much it might be?

Spyderco will not do a blade swap. So long as the knife has not been completely disassembled, they may charge you a fee to do a warranty repair or they may just adjust it/sharpen it at no charge. I'd call and ask them. They can tell if knives have been taken down completely.
Have you tried to center the blade yourself?

I haven't tried it myself yet, I'm afraid I'll strip the pivot. I don't need the blade replaced even if it can't be centered or need it sharpened. I would just like the pivot screw replaced. The knife works fine and the finish is perfect. I think he tried to tighten the pivot screw with the wrong size allen wrench and almost stripped it but I'm not sure.

Or possibly you're using an allen wrench and it needs a Torx driver. If that's not the case, best bet is to call Spyderco tomorrow, ask for Warranty & Repair, explain the problem and they'll tell you what it will cost to repair.

Thanks. Just wondering if anyone else has sent a knife to Spyderco under these circumstances. I'll probably give Spyderco repair a call tomorrow and see what they say.

I called W&R to see if I could get a new pivot screw for my Para 1 (head was all buggered by previous owner). The sent one out to me for free, but were only able to send the male side, not the female. This is only because mine has the older "O" pivot, not the "D" pivot and they don't make the "O" pivot any more. I haven't gotten it yet, but I'm not really rushed; I got a Para 2 to carry now.
