Repair/refurb BM-e Asym edge (macro pics)

When I got this knife off the forum here it was a pretty good deal because of the "user" status of this knife. The edge had some real good chips and it was dull. The handle was stained with hand oils and the knife was looking pretty used. So I cleaned her up. re-did the edge and here she is for your viewing pleasure. This is my first Asymmetrical edge and I look forward to trying it out.

Wow -- that looks sooo good!

It'll be interesting to hear your thoughts on the a-sym edge compared to the sym one on you FBM...
 
Well my first thought is a very positive one. That super small edge bevel one the one side makes sharpening the knife a LOT faster since you are working MUCH less bevel surface. If it cuts as well as the traditional style edge this alone is enough to make it markedly better. We shall see when I hack some wood this weekend.
