Last month I sent to 110's back home for a little work.
A 2 dot 110 that was very rough opening even though the knife had not been used much if at all. And another 110 that just needed to have the bolsters polished up, it had some scratches that were deeper than I could get out polishing by hand.
According to the USPS tracking they were delivered on 2/26 ..
I called last week just to check progress and was told that they were opened on 3/04 and were in for repair, and that it could be a couple more weeks before they were finished...

I'm just curious how long service usually takes as I have never sent anything in for repair.
Not complaining, just wondering.

I sent in a 303 that a friend had given me many years ago and asked for a repair instead a replacement, it took abour 6 weeks but it was worth the wait to get it back.

I sent in a 110 that needed a new blade and spa treatment.I think total time was less than 2 weeks.DM

Usually a few weeks, I'm getting ready to send in my new 301GYS-B for repair or replacement, so we'll see.

Normally we like to hang onto a knife no longer than 4 weeks while actually shooting for about 2. (this does not count how long the post office has it)There are things that come into play from time to time that effect the turnaround and right now we are in the middle of one of those "things".
If you want, shoot me an email with your name and zip and I will get you an update.

Joe, Thank you for taking the time to come in here and and address the "things" which pop up here.DM

Joe's new avatar some how looks like it could be his desk top..
hay lets all have to take a shot at a guess and
in a week see how many got it right!?!

My desk? Ha! My desk can only aspire to be that clean and organized!
We were redecorating the factory store so I put together a few "Buck Knife box" collages. Fun project!
I'll share pics of the others if you want to see them.
My desk? Too funny! :D

Just to give an update on this...

The 2 110's that were delivered to BKI on Feb 26th for repair have yet to find their way home yet.

According to Joe there have been some changes in the system and things are not flowing smoothly yet.

Thought I would share this in case anyone is going to send knives in for repair.

I'm a little disappointed in the turn around time, but things happen and its not a crisis... I could have sworn I heard my 2 dot 110 calling out for me to rescue it though last night while I was trying to go to sleep :D
