I've been looking for a knife maker that might do repairs, preferably in the Tampa,Fl. area. Anyway,I have an old Latama switchblade that I've had for years. Someone "played " with it that shouldn't have been and broke the spring. I have no idea how you can break the spring, but it looks like it snaped in half. I have no means to fix it myself, although I'd love to try,I'd like to find someone who could repair it. Anyone out there have any suggestions?

have you taken the knife apart? can you post pictures of the broken spring? maybe someone can make you a new spring.

Man, that was a fast reply. Little busy on the phone right now, but as soon as I can I'll take some pictures, etc. and post them. Thanks

If you can take it apart and get some measurements of the spring with a micrometer, you might be able to go to Mcmaster.com and find a replacement. There is probably a spring company that has a website but I don't know of one and Mcmaster-Carr normally has a good selection.
