Both good looking knives, I know that you will be using the 104 and I'm interested in knowing how you like the Cerakoat and how it holds up. Thanksalso got October botm today from them...

My son and I have the sept botm marksman and he is using his daily cutting nylon twine wrap on big hay bales, opening sacks of feed, cutting rope and all kinds of stuff using it hard and it isn’t showing much wear yet. He just rinses and wipes it off at days end. I think he has touched the blade up a bit, adjusted the screws and is still screaming sharp. It’s a great knife! Both good looking knives, I know that you will be using the 104 and I'm interested in knowing how you like the Cerakoat and how it holds up. Thanks

Thanks, looks like it holds up better than the stuff used years ago by another company that I had experienced.mind ya this was from carving some old hybrid water and live oak, but soil here is mostly dirty sugar type sand and everything gets covered and imbedded in it. this was wiped clean and washed and is the actual wear.
yes Sir.Thanks, looks like it holds up better than the stuff used years ago by another company that I had experienced.
Oh, I agree 100%! Both in looks and functionbut the old alaskan guide coating is better.
yes Sir. both this 104 botm and the skblades d2 have the ffg. I use the skblades d2 sometimes. its okay the d2. getting a sharp edge takes some time. seems to do better if stopped at lower grits. leaving a toothier edge. edge cuts better.JB, your 104 has a flat grind. Your liking the way D 2 performs. DM
