Repairing a Titan Torx Tool

Just in case anyone else has run into the following problem: I recently bought a Spyderco folder in the Marketplace and tried to remove the aftermarket scales to replace with the original ones. I tried to use a Titan wrench set to remove the screws, but a couple wouldn't budge. Looking at the T6,7,8,9,10,15 side, they were not lined up evenly, which didn't bother me too much; however, the T6 was about 1/5" longer than any of the others. Taking a magnifier to the ends, all were flat except for the T6, which had a rounded edge. I filed the end down until it was flat, and it worked fine.

Probably an obvious solution, but thought I'd share since it baffled me for a while.

my Boker Wiha stubby arrives in a day or two.

I'll just throw this out there for anyone who might be interested. Whether you buy a Weha, Wera, Wombat, or Harbor Freight, if you use it enough, the tool will wear. Torx, Allen, flat blade screwdriver, or putty knife, they're all the same. Eventually you'll need to touch it up on the grinder. That's just the way metal works.

Sure, but needing to be ground down right out of the box is unacceptable.
