Some of my knives have black screws and pivots, like my BM Stryker. If the black on the pivot screws start to scratch off can I fix it with one of those touch up markers you buy at gun stores that are designed for firearms? Or do they sell any kind of a black paint "pen" I can use to reapply the coating. Also, if it works on screws, would it work on a clip?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions:thumbup:

I've done the gun based product route with good results.

Can't recall what the product was, as I've come to like the used look.

I went the Brownell's catalog route in choosing it, I remember that much anyway.

They say that cold applications work best on small areas like a screw or a chip. I think the keyword you want to use is blueing. If you run a google search on gun blueing, you should get some information on that.
