I have a leupold big rock fixed blade knife I really like...the handles (they are wood) are about gone ...well I put it in the dishwasher several times like a dummy..i wanna get em replaced...where do I get someone to make em and install them for me?

You can go the re-handle route or, if there's enough handle left, or if the knife is full tang, you could wrap the handle with paracord or leather. It can make the knife look great too. Usually makes it feel better in hand.

the handles aren't too bad they have just seemed to warp some...its not a one piece handle..it 2 piece..one for each side

Check some of the handle paracord wrap work online....I do it a lot and with leather too. You can really customize the knife and it works well. It's an answer for crappy handles.

Just checked that Leupold out....if your choil is in the wood you'd have to leave the very tip of it exposed with a wrap...and probably the very butt too. But it looks like it would wrap decently.

here is the exact knife..tried taking photos of my knife but couldn't get em to show the damage to the handles..the paracord would be nice if it would wrap and cover everything..but seems it wouldn't

Does the knife have sentimental value? I ask because a quick search yielded the knife on the secondary market for around $25. You'd be hard pressed to find someone to make and install new scales for even 2-3 times that amount.

yeah that's it...it does have sentimental value........but im not sure I wanna stick 75 bucks in it for handles....im between a rock and a hard spot here...I guess I will have to figure it out
