Thanks for that shop link, Adi. Good one. Now I have to re-think my idea of making new wood handles!
In case anyone else is doing this, I should add that the handles that I took off my knife got slightly damaged in the process, so they can't be snapped back on. They need glue now. The damage is to the 3 holes in the back of the handles, that snap onto the 3 brass flair-topped studs. The edges of the handle holes were broken off. The handles themselves are undamaged, because when I removed the handles, I made sure that I pried up with my putty knife right against each stud.
Also, I still can't find the model name of my old knife. The closest I've found is the "vintage Golfer", which is 91 mm (3 9/16") long closed, and has one blade, scissors, corkscrew, one-piece bottle opener/screwdriver/wire stripper, tweezers, and toothpick. Mine has all those, plus a third long, thin slot in the handle that must be for a pen. Any clues?
