repairing stacked leather handle

I have a M3 Camillus Fighting knife.
The blade is in great condition, but the leather handle washers are dry, brittle and have broken off in places. The butt looks hard to remove and I can't seem to find the oblong washers with spacers for replacement. Does anyone have any suggestions on kits or how to replace the leather?
