I just started reading "The Haunted Air" by F. Paul Wilson, and Jack has always carried a pocketknife and a .45 caliper gun. I posted awhile back on F. Paul Wilson's forum about giving Jack a knife with a name, and it finally popped up in a book. I quote "He wormed the black-handled Spyderco Endura Lightweight out of his back pocket, did a one-hand flick-out of the four inch serrated blade, and"... you'll have to read the book to find out what happens. 
Just thought it was cool that someone else reads their own forums. If you haven't read any of the "Repairman Jack" novels, you are missing out on some good books. I have yet to be disappointed by any of F. Paul Wilson's
books. I recommend them.
