Has anyone pictures of a 34OT with aftermarket covers? I think the 34 is the right size jack for me, but I really disdain sawcut covers.

Also, just a quick question, are these old Schrade's flat or hollow ground, and what is the steel?

The 34OT is flat ground with non-stainless steel. Its predecessor and concurrent open stock pattern is the #834, with jigged Delrin covers. The very first ones (pre-1960) can be rarely found in bone. There is also an 834Y in yellow Delrin. There are a number of special editions in more recent years, also in bone, and in wood, and smooth black Delrin, etc., etc.. Some of them may be stainless. There are two anniversary editions up on THE unmentionable auction site right now with red bone and sterling silver bolsters. And another one is the....(you get the idea). Aftermarket covers on a $25 to $75 knife? Maybe.....

The 33OT is a jack, the 34OT is a stockman...

Here are some vintage options with the same knife.

If you want a Schrade USA 3 5/16" jack knife with stainless blades:

Schrade USA Uncle Henry 833 Prairie Jack, 1980's vintage

If you don't mind jigged Delrin and want carbon steel:

Schrade Walden 233, 1970's vintage

If you prefer jigged bone:

If you do get an Old Timer recovered, show us when you are done.

Ok, I like that 50s 233. Man that's sharp!

I realized once I typed it that I put 34 instead of 33. I can't change it on tapatalk though.

Thanks for those pictures. Very nice.
