replace scales on Old Timer

Hello all, I picked this old Timer up recently,(here is a pic. http://picturehost.com/v/User-Albums...immer.jpg.html )and love everything except the saw cut derlin handles. My question is, Would it be possible to remove the scales that are on it and replace it with stag scale myself? Thanks John

Absolutely. Come pay a visit to the link to my homepage in my profile and you can see several of the pieces of work done to very similar knives and maybe even one or two of the one you have if you have the patience to search the site. There are several fine craftsman that hang there in our little neck of the woods that can either advise you to do it yourself or do it for you. Just pick one of them and ask.
