So I work at solar farm sites trying to become an electrician apprentice and the work site is huge, which led to me losing my endura at work... really sucked.. bummed me out the whole day.

It was my first spyderco I ever bought and my favorite knife, carried it everyday for about 5 years, it was also the zdp189 version.

Well I knew things like this might happen and they are replaceable so I finally pulled the trigger on this bad boy.

I'm totally in love with this thing, love the combo edge, I know many people prefer PE but this is my first and won't be my last. First time trying vg10 also and I love the steel.

I'm surprised I don't see more combo edge knives here on the forums, I'm a believer in this edge now.

Sorry for your loss, but congrats on the new knife. The the Endura is a great knife. I tend to favor its little brother, the Delica, more for my EDC uses though. On the Delica (possibly because of its shorter edge), I found the combo blade to have not quite enough of either edge. I solved that by getting a fully serrated Delica to complement my FFG one. ;)

Yeah I couldn't just not replace it lol. I have the delica too in zdp and I also forgot to mention that I also lost and replaced that one as well.

I just had bad luck at that work sight because I ended up sticking my hand really hard with a cheap Chinese knife I wanted to carry because I didn't wanna lose anymore good knives. The plan backfired and I threw that piece away lol.

I need to get a full spyderedge next too. How do you like yours?

i think you gave all of us an idea. the delica is a fine plain edge EDC while the endura's blade length might give you a good combo.

The full Spyderedge works really well. Having the teeth along the belly of the blade gives you good bite and shallow puncturing ability with most of the cutting edge. The serrations cut very aggressively, of course. It's also essentially a chisel grind, so doing scraping-type cutting works pretty well. It doesn't give the same clean slicing cuts of, say, a plain-edge FFG, but different blades for different uses. If only the serrations were on the other side (I'm right-handed)...

I have the same one and that beast comes to work every day! I do HVAC and that bad boy gets USED!! Great blade that's long enough to handle the combo edge.

I'm on my third Endura having lost the first two. I'm not a fan of serrated edges but I can see where it would be useful in your line of work.
