Hello out there,
I'm hoping someone could tell me if just handles for butterfly knives are available from anyone. I really don't have the heart to part with my blade since I've owned it for about 15 years now. also, i don't have the skill to just custom make them myself. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Welcome to the forums Bradfjord. Always nice to see new faces.

Well, I'm definately not the guy to talk to about this, but I do know that anyone anwering your question will want to know the model number of the bali in question, so post it if you get the chance.

In any case, I hope to see more posts from youin the future. This is just about the best place on the web (quite possibly the world), to ask questions about balisongs. Have fun flippin' and good luck with getting some handles for that blade!

You've come to the right place, Welcome!!

Take a peek at Eric Maier's site, i believe you'll like what you see...I have one set from him already and love it. I think everyone pretty much feels the same way who has handeled his work. Good Luck!

Howdy Bradfjord! Welcome to the zoo. Send it to Mer. I balked at his price initially cuz I'm such cheap bastard. Now I'm searching for more Intl series bali-songs with roont die cast handles to get him to do more fore me. He is that good! You can see my 4" utility blade on his website. It is probably my favorite knife right now. Those old BM blades are made from 12C27 Sandvik steel, which is a great blade steel IMHO. He can do pretty much anything you want. Give him a holler. Besides, if you don't like what he does with it, we'll probably tear each other apart trying to buy it off ya!

Thanks for your replies, they're helpful. I like look of the handles at Eric's website, but now I'm not sure if I want buy a bali' with a partial serrated edge... hmmmm tempting. I suppose I could get "ol' faithful" re-handled, AND buy a new one with the serration... the more the merrier.. Thanks again. -Brad

Here's another link to another thread regarding Eric's handles.

Either way, you can't lose. Eric does some pretty outstanding work. You'll be pretty amazed. Only problem is that he's pretty backlogged
if you couldn't tell by his waiting list.
