Replacement blade--warranty service questions

Hi,

The edge geometry on my starbenza is rather thick and a decent amount of the edge is already gone, so I decided to thin it out to increase cutting performance. I'm still in the process of rebeveling it, but the bevel is as expected considerably larger.

I'm thinking of sending my knife to CRK to get a replacement blade, but I have 2 questions--how long does a replacement such as this roughly take and could I request for them to send it unsharpened? Reason I ask is that should I do this, I would want to send out the knife to be professionally sharpened to put a edge of my ideal geometry and while at this, to keep the blade as wide as possible.

Thanks,
BN

According to the thread about turn around times most people seem to be waiting about 6 weeks to two months for non warranty stuff. Asking for a blade replacement is not a warranty issue, the blade failing and you needing a new one would be. They will also not send you a blade unsharpened and I don't think any knife company in their right mind would so that one goes out the window right away. :p

Haze is dead on. I couldn't even imagine asking Chris to send me an unsharpened blade; it's what he prides his products on. His knives are scary sharp and I personally have never had an issue putting an edge back on a Sebenza.
