Replacement for a Becker Magnum camp

I find that my Becker Brute is too heavy on a pistol web belt, with two full canteens of water. I'd love to get my hands on a Becker Magnum Camp but it seems that Becker/Ka-bar will never have a run of them again. I'm wondering what you all would recommend as a suitable replacement, as you know what I'm looking for. I'll hump a Cold Steel new frontier hawk and Ka-bar Mule with my water until I find the right fixed blade. Weight is an issue during the day, while humping along other additional gear through the bush.

According to a recent thread the Magnum camp is coming next January at the Shot Show, also the BK9 Combate Bowie replaced the brute so it will never come back. Linky here: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showpost.php?p=8331435&postcount=32

By the way, if you have a military webbed belt, an H or Y harness is great for carring more weight. I normally have 2 quarts, food, gear, a BK9 and Hawk on my belt with Harness and Buttpack.

Thanks for the info/heads up buddy, it's mighty appreciated. I've rarely been on site here for the last year or more. I'm reading some dandy news here. :D

you might look up a BK7 or BK9 while waiting for the release of the new magnum camp knife. Since they're made with 3/16" stock instead of 1/4" like the Brute, they're both a chunk lighter.
