I'm looking for a functional equivalent to Cold Steel's spear point machete. Supposedly this is a popular style in some parts of the world, but I'm having trouble finding examples of such. The closest I've found so far are Imacasa's Barrigon and Tres Canales, but they aren't as pointy as I'd like, and they don't have as much of a guard shape to the handle as the Cold Steel models.

Now that I look a little more, the Condor Hog Sticker seems designed to fit the role I'm looking for, but its design is all wrong for me. I prefer the Latin style pommel on the Cold Steel to the El Salvador handle on the Hog Sticker. Also, I prefer the Cold Steel spear point to the "dropless" point of the Condor. And while I have heard that Condor does 420HC adequately, I'd much prefer their 1075 for a machete like this.

So, what else is on the market that is close in design to the Cold Steel spear point machetes?

Himalayan Imports khukuri knives and their dozens of many blade designs made by various Kamis.

Here is a small sample of the blades available:

I have a 17.5" Chiruwa Ang Khola, which I love for what it is. In this thread, I'm looking for something built like a machete, not like a tank. :D

Buy an Imacasa "cuma" machete and lop off the hook.

It makes for a very lively blade with good chopping ability and just a very slight broadening of the blade as it approaches the point.
