I have always used Macromedia Dreamweaver for my website but after being forced into this MS Vista nightmare and reading online discussions of Dreamweaver and Vista interaction, I would rather not pay that much money just to be plagued with nightmares and migraines over this.

Can any of you suggest a website/HTML program like Dreamweaver that will function with MS Vista but without being a MS program designed for building websites?

TIA, CIAO...

if your stuck on html, then I don't have anything for you. I use (a lot) open source formats such as wordpress or joomla to build sites. they are php based, but the code is generally easy to edit. A bonus is that the admin hub is online so you can make changes from anywhere.

I would generally not like to get into anything that is going to result in a severe headache. Going to Linux and something away from HTML would likely result in a nogginbuster or wallet drainer...going back to the reason I want to get away from Macromedia...although I love it.

You do realize that Macromedia no longer owns Dreamweaver, right? Adobe bought it up and killed off the only real alternative GoLive. No really a lot of choices for pro level Windows machines needing to create websites.

Nope, didn't know it but it doesn't surprise me. Anti-Trust laws not being enforced never surprised me either. :D
