Replacement for Venev Orion Series Diamond 6" x 1" Stone

As the title says, I have a set of the Venev Orion Diamond stones and my F400 is in dire need of replacing.
They are out of stock here in the US & I can't get them from Russia because of the trade embargo.

What out there would be a good replacement for it?
All of my others are still pretty much like new.

I believe that is a resin bonded stone, so another resin diamond stone may fit best into your progression. Consider the The Edge Pro Diamond Matrix 950.

Yes it is a resin bonded stone. I have one in 240 and 800 in the Venev so looking for something to go there. I do have some of the Edge Pro Diamond Matrix on order.

It's resin bonded CBN. There's no practical difference between CBN and diamonds when it comes to manual sharpening.

Oops, yes. CBN.

The universe might be saying it's time to upgrade.

I use the Poltava CBN stones. Upgraded from the TSProf factory diamond.

The CBN stones blow away the diamond.

They stay sharp and the diamond size is designed to be constant. Verses wearing in a diamond stone. Taking your time to break the tips off the surface diamond. Trying to get it uniform.

Smoother, and aggressive. Even the finer grits. You'll sometimes wonder if it's removing the metal. Until you notice the dust and the finish on the edge.


I know they're expensive but I promise you. They are worth it.

Venev used old resin bond B2-01 for powdered wheels, recently they removed SiC powders from that bond and called it OSB
So the bond is just resin, not adapted for hand sharpening
Poltava resin bond are better (bond B1-13 has longer tooling life), but resin bond remains outdated. Poltava is strong in metal bond. Recently they made hybrid bond (copper powder and resin), it has longer tooling life that Venev's OSB, but leaves scratches on fine grain sizes.
CBN sharpening stones combined bond ($59-70) by another Poltava manufacturer are made in 3 bond variations, designed depending on grain size.
I started dealing with them recently and happy with performance
