I've tried googling with no luck--I'm looking for a replacement handle, ~25-28 inches long and curved.

Can anyone post or PM me any sources?

Thanks!

you might have some luck at a hardware or farm supply store near you. i can usually find nice ones (if their standard sized). sounds like your just looking for a basic handle, that shouldnt be hard to find in your area. i guess?

I've been striking out on finding two handles.

I need one for my Mustad carpenters axe, and I need one for a 1.5lb hatchet that seems to have an unusually "long" eye.

So far, no luck locally. Anyone have any ideas????

I ended up finding a 28" vaughn & bushnell (?) Single bit curved hickory replacement handle on amazon. I would have like one slightly shorter, but the price was right, and I've had no luck anywhere else.

I got a Boy's sized axe handle at my local Ace about a month ago. it is around 28 inches long with a doe foot. cost around 10 bucks.

Just stopped into an Ace across town, and they had one left--thanks for the heads up!

28" handles usually end up 27" or 26" after fitting. I would try to keep it longer though, its safer and a little more efficient.

I've purchased four handles from "Hickory Handle Store. com" that were all straight with near perfect grain orientation and a very light wax coating. The kerfs are also cut perfectly down the middle unlike a lot of hardware store handles.
