Replacement Lock Spring for Native 5

Ugh. Put myself in an awkward situation. I was cleaning my G10 Native 5 a few days ago. I walked away from the table, kid spills water, everything gets knocked around in the mess/clean-up, and now I can't find the lock spring.

I emailed Spyderco asking if they would ship me a replacement. As you all probably know (and I learned), policy is no internal replacement parts due tolerances. I could send it back, but, since this occurred whilst I was cleaning it, it's out of warranty. So, that's a minimum $20 plus shipping trip. Bugger.

Any ideas? Anyone have a spare laying around? Thanks for your time.

Get a magnet or metal detector and start feeling around. It's got to be there somewhere.

You never know but I don't think it's very likely that someone's going to have a N5 lock spring just laying around.

If you've searched high and low and the spring's nowhere to be found I think I'd just send it in to Spyderco and pay the $20 to have them fix it. Chalk it up as a lesson learned and move on.

This.
It didn't slip into the ether, it's somewhere.
Look around where you usually find your lost socks.
Or maybe check the kids diaper or follow the dog around for a couple of days...
