Hey Y'all! I have a manix 2 in g10 and a couple of the heads my body screws are pretty marred. Not completely stripped or useless, buts its nagging and I fear that they will strip at some point. I have tried contacting spyderco twice to see If they would send me a new set of screws. Yet with two attempts I have received no response. Does Spyderco normally respond to E-mails, or even consider sending new screws? If all else fails, does anyone know where I can find replacement screws of the same size? And what specific size would that be?

Iirc Spyderco warranty is void when you take it apart. They don't sell screws because of this. Send it in for warranty but it may be void because of that.

That's why they use red locktite so you can't open them.

I actually didn't disassemble the knife. I was just tightening screws and I stupidly used a bit that was one size too small and marred up the head. I wouldn't be upset if Spyderco decided not to help out, but I must admit that it is very frustrated that I have not even been issued a response for two emails in days. I expected better service. Actually I guess I don't know what to expect. This is my very first spyderco. maybe I could invest in some pretty titanium screws, of course I feel those would be very prone to stripping.

I wouldn't expect spyderco to warrant screws unless they came out on their own, like what happened with my new GB1 and hap40 dragonfly. I would however expect them to stock and sell replacements.
So far, I haven't encountered any red locktite on spydercos.

Ill probably have to end up doing that. It is, as I said, entirely my fault. This is my first spyderco and actually first knife over $100 dollars so I guess my obsessive tinkering has cost me

Update: Just received an email today from Candi, from Spyderco. The email said they would be happy to send me new screws free of charge, and asked for my shipping address. Could not have had a better experience in customer service! I now wonder why I did not get into Spyderco's sooner as their products and customer service are both top of the line!
