I recently bought Dominator with quite worn blade. The rest was in the very good condition. Then on eBay I purchased new spare blade. After resharpening, decided to replace. Stopped on the following:

Can anyone explain me how to detach the pin (or whatever it is called) used for assists? I tried to twist it (gently), to tap on the back side. Sits dead. To avoid damage, I decided that better to ask.

Google has not helped. Need your advise

Thanks and good luck, Alexander

You might get a better response if your post was in the Camillus Collectors forum.

Another option is to contact Mr. Darryl Ralph, himself. He's offered to work on a CUDA Maxx 5.5 for me, in the past. I have a couple Dominator blades, as well. They are unsharpened, and don't have the stud, or kicker insert for the ROBO mechanism. I need to step up and get the blades finished, though, so I'm not SOL when folks run out of supplies for this model.

I contacted a gentleman on the forums here who does customizing work on knives, but he was too scared of the high resale value on my Dominator to take a risk of losing or ruining it. :(

Here's DDR's online contact, directly from his homepage: emailddr@darrelralph.com

Privet ! :)
A ty na guns.ru ne proboval ob etom sprashivat`?
Mne kazhetca tam byli temy o zamene klinka u Dominator

Guns.ru glyuchit ne po detsky. I will try as soon as it is up. Thanks anyway :)

Try Reese Weiland. Worth the wait.

So, finally I produced hand made stud using original one as an example. After that embedded it into the blade under pressure using grip vice. Fits perfectly. Old blade left with the stud, just in case.
