I bought a d2 steel rat 7 some months back only to discover it was slightly bent when it arrived. I got in touch with them with the help of Jeff Randall from http://www.jungletraining.com/ and yesterday received my rat-7 this one with the new grey coating on the blade. It always nice to know that companies will stand behind their products and deal with any problems.
So thanks to Jeff and Sue at Ontario I have a new toy to play with.

Jeff Randall and Mike Perrin really stand behind their products. They sincerely ask for criticism and suggestions for improvments whether it's for a knife or an executive training course in a foreign country.

Glad to hear they addressed your problem.

FWIW, I have RAT-7's in both 1095 and D2. The 1095 has proven to be very rugged. I liked it so much that I bought one in D2. Haven't used it much, but it takes a wicked edge.

I'm sure it will become one of your favorites.

Jeff and Mike are stand up guys fer sure,I have seen them go out of their way many times to correct any problems no matter how trivial. The R.A.T line of knives are awesome period, and the best knives for the money imo.I have been abusing my new RAT7 in D2 for a couple o weeks now just to purposely push it and it has showed no failures at all  (night creature)

Jeff even offered to repay my shipping costs although I didn't take him up on that, I would have felt a bit guilty after the help he gave me.
The people at ontario did there best to get the replacement to me but I was unlucky enough to catch them when they were changing to the new coated blades so had to wait a while till the new ones were ready.
