Replacement rods for my Sharpmaker 204

Hello all,

Well I tried to do a good deed and it cost me. While shapening my inlaws knives in their garage I knocked one of the rods off of the workbench and watched it break into three pieces on the garage floor. Bummer. That is what I get.

Like I didn't already do enough by taking my wife off of their hands:D

Can anyone give my info on where I can get a replacement? It is the medium one.

Anyone have an extra I can buy?

Thanks for the assist,

Mike

I'm virtually certain that replacement rods are available. For some reason tho, the only vendor I've heard associated with them is Discount Knives -- not my favorite web dealer. I know most people have positive experiences with them, but I sure didn't. I think they cost under $10 for the pair. Don't think you can buy one at a time, but could well be wrong. I would guess that the Spyderco store probably sells them too.

Wright Knife, 1-800-400-1980 has replacement stones, both medium and fine. In fact, he has both the 203 and the 204 stones.
Retail is 10.95
