Hi, I recently got a bhojpure kukri from Atlantic Cutlery. I didn't get one with a scabbard, should have. When I got it it was much sharper than I expected. I thought I better have a scabbard for it. It came to day but it doesn't fit, it is a little short is that typical, is there any thing I can do

Id contact one of our resident leather benders and have them make you a righteous sheath for that baby! You wont be disappointed. They are very reasonable and the quality is second to none. Some of these guys do it on the side for extra money and some do it professionally.

I've read comments by people who bought the scabbard from AC and were disappointed. It was too loose, or too tight, or too short, or too long.
That's not surprising, and it's not really the fault of AC. Genuine khukuris, whether the vintage blades that might have been issued to Gorkhas decades ago, or the modern variety made by HI and a few other outfits, are very individualized. No two are exactly the same size, shape, thickness, etc. That's because they are hand-forged, not cut or machined by automated processes. The scabbards are hand made for each blade, and it would be very good luck if a scabbard fit your bhojpure unless it was made for that particular knife.
One of my favorite khukuris is a 15" Chitlangi by Lokendra kami. The scabbard was much too tight. Because it was a favorite of mine, I tried swapping the scabbard for one of my others that fit similarly sized khukuris. None of them were a good fit, even for the exact same model and length. Eventually it occurred to me to remove the karda and chakma, and this gave the leather enough give that the khukuri then fit perfectly.
I agree with Ndog that you should contact one of the leatherworkers listed at this forum. I have scabbards by Pugs and Wildmanh, and can testify that they do excellent work. You will have to ship your bhojpure to them to get the fit right, but you won't be disappointed in the result.
