Hey there everyone,

Just wondering where I can source replacement scale screws for my Spyderco Barong. I am from Malaysia and am willing to pay international shipping.

Here are some pics of the stripped screws.

Thanks for any help offered. I really appreciate it.

Have you tried contacting Spyderco directly? I don't think international shipping should be a problem.

Thanks gsolanio,

You're welcome, Niklos.

Anything to help a fellow Barong owner.

Best of luck.

Hmmm, I email Spyderco on the 11th August but till today I still have not received a response. Will wait some more...

Spyderco responded today mentioning that their warranty/repair staff was on leave.

Also that they might not have the screws because it's discontinued and made in a different country.

They did ask for my postage address. They will contact me again when the staff is back from their leave.

Thank you Spyderco for the response. :encouragement:

Will update once I hear from them again. ;)

Okay, Charlynn (Spyderco warranty/repairs) got back to me and will post to me the replacement screws.

They are not the Original Spyderco Barong screws but will have similar thread sizes as the Barong.

Thank you Spyderco! Awesome customer care from an awesome Knife producer. :applouse:

I just received a package from Spyderco today... It contained the needed screws for my Barong!!

The package:

It's contents and signed with a personal message from Charlynn:

The clip and scale screws fitted perfectly! Charlynn couldn't find the exact screws for the liners but they fit snug. The heads needed to be slightly filed down so that the scales could fit flush.

Some shots of the Barong with it's new scale screws:
