Replacement sheath for the BK7

hakaku,
We sell replacement sheaths, incase you lost one or something. We will replace it if you have had a problem with it of somekind....a defect or a failure.

I will say that, right now, we may be behind on BK&T sheaths, BK7's in particular, because we are shipping ALOT of BK7's right now....it seems we have quite a few US Service personel about to participate in the BAGDAD URBAN RENUAL PROGRAM, and they are asking for BK&T C/U-7's to take on the trip:D

Call the ladies in customer service @ 800-344-0456 and they will help you with you needs.

Will...It's great to read that some (many) of our service men & womem are carrying one of the best knives available, in the BK-7! If I were heading back into "the fray", I would want to take MY BK-7 (and BK-9) with me, that's for sure!

Will, thanks for the info. I have first hand experience of how popular
the BK7 is with the military. My son is with the 82nd somewhere in
northeast Afghanistan attached to a SF unit doing something that is
classified. When he called me about three weeks ago from their firebase on a sat phone, he mentioned that one side of the webbing
for the ALICE clips of his BK7 sheath had ripped and he had to replace
his favorite knife--which the guys he is with think is "awesome"--with
one of his six backups. (I supply knives and multi-tools that fall within given parameters for him to test and evaluate.) He did not feel that it ripped because of a defect or workmanship, but due to the
nature of the missions and terrain which has taken it's toll on all
the equipment. His brother and I have sent him our BK7 sheaths and
that is why I inquired about replacements since this is definitely not
a warranty problem.

As a side issue: He has said that the BK7 would be just about perfect
except for the scales; they are just too slick for a secure grip with
sweaty hands or in inclement weather. He has removed them and wrapped
the handle with tape like his hockey stick until we can come up with a
solution.

Thanks again - Jim

Will...Maybe this is something for Camillus/Becker to take a close look at; (Slightly thinner) replacement BK scales made out of G-10 or linen micarta (for a fairly non-slip surface). I think that such an item would make alot of people very happy, and make an excellent series of knives even more "user-friendly".

Yep,

I'm beginning to like my new BK5 Companion more and more. However with your great idea of the thinner micarta handles, or cut down versions, owners can even customise for more delicate work, or covert IWB carry. From extreme chopping to the perfect camp knife to the ultimate tactical knife. The marketing potential is endless.

...A couple of quick corrections for you:
1. It's Campanion, not Companion.
2. It's the model BK-2, not BK-5...The BK-5 was a totally different knife.

Hey Hakaku....

First things first..Would you please E Mail me either your address or the address of your son so that we can get him a new sheath as soon as possible... I will be happy to send your son a sheath from my own stock (the factory is awaiting inserts) so that he can get his "favorite" up and running ...... When you contact him next please extend my thanks to him for his service on my behalf...I am extremely thankful and oh so proud of the good work the US military is doing lately...

My E Mail address is:
BeckerKT@aol.com

Looking forward to hearing from you.

All Best...
Ethan
