Replacement shield for hen and rooster

I have a hen and rooster trapper that has lost the shield, anyone got a replacement or know where to get such, its a standard trapper, red bone, bertram cutlery, picture is attached

Only suggestion I have, would be to scour the 'bay (that 'auction site'), for an old one suitable for cannibalizing.

Thanks, thats a good idea. Ill check ebay. Do most all shields fit in the same way ?? Small hole under the big hole ??

That, I don't know. If it's a pinned shield (I'm assuming so, based on your question), that may or may not complicate installing a new one. I don't have experience at that. I've only had to replace one, and that was just a glued shield (on a Case), that happened to fall out as I was looking at the knife. Just a matter of gluing it back in, in that case.

Edited to add:
Even if it's a pinned shield, you might be able to cut/grind the lower portion of the pin off of the replacement (assuming it can be cleanly extracted from the other knife), and just glue it in place, if need be.

I think it'll become clear what needs to be done, once you find another 'donor' knife and see how it's attached there.
